Om de nodige voedselpakketten en andere benodigdheden aan onze kinderen in Napak, Noord-Oeganda, te bezorgen, trotseert hij weersomstandigheden, coronasituaties en andere moeilijkheden, soms met gevaar voor eigen leven!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

Op deze manier bezoekt hij onze kinderen regelmatig en maakt hij tijd voor een goed gesprek, zelfs als er niemand anders in het gebied is. Zoals hij zelf hieronder beschrijft: \u201cZe zien hem als een vriend!\u201d Op basis van deze waardevolle gesprekken worden tussentijdse rapporten opgesteld en doorgestuurd, zodat we goed op de hoogte blijven van de ups en downs van onze kinderen.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

Mijn ervaring met werken bij Koinonia Ministries.<\/p>\n\n

Door mijn werk bij Koinonia heb ik veel geleerd over hoe ik met kinderen moet omgaan, maar ook met de ouders en hun dorpsgemeenschap<\/strong>. Ze kennen me nu als \u2018de veldmedewerker\u2019 van Koinonia en dat maakt de communicatie opener, terwijl ik ondertussen een \u2018vriend\u2019 voor iedereen ben geworden!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

Door mijn werk voor Koinonia heb ik geleerd hun diepere behoeften te zien en hoe ik daarin kan voorzien.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

Through the years and long-lasting relationships, I can now teach the children a little about what is good for them, and that they need to be careful of in order not to be violated. They listen attentively to what I say, so I try to be open and honest with them, and I make myself empathetic to listen to their problems. That way we have good communication with each other. The children feel at ease and they, in turn, are also very open and honest in what they say. As a result, I learn a lot about their mental or physical state. Even when and they are on holiday with their parents,\u00a0they used to call me and ask me: how are you, are you okay?:)<\/p>\n\n

Mijn doel is om te werken aan:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

\u2013 De veiligheid van de kinderen, zowel mentaal als fysiek.
\u2013 Het herstellen van de gebroken \u2018hoop\u2019 in hun leven door middel van dat kleine beetje begeleiding dat ik kan bieden.
\u2013 Het verdedigen van de rechten van elk kind.
\u2013 Een waardig leven voor hen door de kinderen te voorzien van wat ze nodig hebben.
\u2013 Het beste zoeken voor elk kind op basis van hun persoonlijkheid en hun eigen wensen.
\u2013 Gelijke kansen door alle kinderen gelijk te zien en te behandelen.
\u2013 Vertrouwelijkheid door persoonlijke zaken die hen kwetsbaar maken binnen de groep vertrouwelijk te houden voor derden.<\/p>\n\n

Samenwerken in liefde en eenheid heeft bijgedragen aan mijn eigen ontwikkeling.<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

Het heeft me meer vertrouwen gegeven in wie ik ben en wat ik doe. Het heeft me geleerd om met een bereidwillig hart en op een creatieve manier te werken met mensen die God vooropstellen in alles wat ze doen. Het zorgt voor transparantie en vertrouwen in de gemeenschap. De goede relatie die tussen ons bestaat, draagt bij aan de stabiliteit van het werk en geeft me tegelijkertijd rust.<\/p>\n\n

Ik probeer mijn best te doen zonder te klagen of te mopperen, en elke dag werk ik, zichtbaar of onzichtbaar, met volledige toewijding! Net zoals in de Bijbel in Kolossenzen 3:23 staat geschreven dat we met heel ons hart moeten werken alsof het voor de Heer is en niet voor mensen, om Hem te dienen.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n
