Street Children Rehabilitation Project
Koinonia Ministries is a Christian interdenominational organization with the headquarters in Belgium. One of the priorities of Koinonia is the expression of faith by means of practical love towards the fellowman. Jesus said, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself’ and then pointed out to the Good Samaritan. He showed us the one and only true religion in the eyes of God: faith accompanied by deeds. By helping the robed, beaten man that lay at the side of the road, he went beyond the religious man and truly expressed God’s hart without any words.
This is calling us to take up our responsibility by accepting the mission to selfless love and help those in need regardless of their religion, background or origin.
More than 100,000,000 children are on the streets all over the world.
Their lives are marked by extreme poverty and the absence of any chance to better themselves.
The most basic things are missing from their lives: food, a safe home, someone to take care of them, medical provision, etc….Every day they struggle to survive under dreadful circumstances.
THERE IS HOPE
We, at Koinonia, believe that every one of these children is precious to God and that He has intended a good and meaningful life for each one of them.
It is a sad fact that almost all of these children question God and His love because of misery and pain in their lives. The solution we want to offer is to give them new hope for the future and a new opportunity to better their lives.
Each one of us possesses the key to give them a new chance.
God’s dream for the life of one of those children can start to be realised if people make choices and take action to help make it come true.
